THE CHALLENGE
Speed Campers is a UK-based company operating since 1997, specialising in the modification and sale of luxury campervans. Over the years, the brand established itself as the leading supplier of Ford Custom Campervans in the UK, offering both ready-made models and fully customisable campervans.
In 2022, the company began expanding its online presence by collaborating with AMW Media for professional photos, videos and Google Ads campaigns. However, the results were not satisfactory, highlighting major issues with the website itself. By 2023, Speed Campers faced challenges with an outdated website that failed to meet modern UX, functionality and system integration requirements.
The website lacked engaging content and clarity, leading to a high bounce rate. The outdated and cluttered design had too many menu options and an obsolete hero section that failed to capture user attention. The site was static, the mobile version was unintuitive, and there was no clear categorisation of campervans. It lacked customer reviews, team photos and social proof. The campervan booking process and communication via chat operated through different independent systems, significantly extending the user journey and reducing sales effectiveness. Business owners had to repeatedly log in to multiple tools, negatively affecting response times and workflow efficiency.
OUR SOLUTION
AMW Media's goal was to completely reorganise the content and introduce a new, intuitive web design optimised for mobile devices. The newly designed website features simplified and intuitive navigation with easy access to contact details, clearly categorising vehicles into campers, pop-top models and tow cars. Detailed financing, rental and purchase options are now easily accessible.
A new Events section was added in the form of blog posts, showcasing upcoming events where the Speed Campers team will be present, building community around the brand. The hero section now features high-quality dynamic videos showcasing campervans in motion, capturing the sense of freedom and adventure with the new slogan: "Don't put your campervan dreams on hold!"
The project was finalised by integrating all tools into a unified platform using the AMW Platform, streamlining booking, communication and analytics. A dynamic campervan availability calendar updates in real-time, simplifying reservations. The integrated booking system allows instant reservations without phone or email contact. AI-powered live chat support was added, and every customer inquiry is automatically logged into the CRM system, accelerating lead handling and improving sales efficiency.
THE PROCESS
The engagement started with a strategic audit of Speed Campers' existing digital presence. We analysed the outdated website's performance data, identifying a high bounce rate driven by cluttered navigation, an uninspiring hero section, and a mobile experience that frustrated rather than converted. We mapped the entire customer journey from initial interest through to campervan booking, pinpointing where users were dropping off and why.
With the audit findings in hand, we moved into strategy workshops with the Speed Campers team. We defined three priorities: simplify navigation and content hierarchy, integrate all business tools into a single platform, and create an emotional connection through dynamic visual content. We restructured the site architecture to clearly categorise vehicles into campers, pop-top models, and tow cars, with dedicated pathways for financing, rental, and purchase options.
The creative development phase focused on capturing the spirit of adventure that defines the Speed Campers brand. We produced high-quality video content showcasing campervans in motion, crafting the new slogan "Don't put your campervan dreams on hold!" The hero section was redesigned with dynamic video backgrounds, and an Events section was added as blog-style content to build community around upcoming shows and meetups.
The build phase brought everything together on the AMW Platform. We integrated the booking system for instant reservations, implemented a dynamic campervan availability calendar with real-time updates, and deployed AI-powered live chat support. Every customer inquiry now routes automatically into the CRM, accelerating lead handling and improving sales efficiency. Google Ads campaigns were reconfigured to drive traffic to the new, conversion-optimised pages.
Before launch, we conducted thorough cross-device testing, trained the Speed Campers team on platform management, and set up analytics dashboards to track performance from day one.
THE RESULTS

WHAT WE LEARNED

We also discovered that lifestyle products sell on emotion, not specification. The original content focused heavily on camper van features and dimensions. People don't buy camper vans; they buy the life that comes with them.
For any lifestyle or experience-based business: stop listing features and start telling stories. And before you redesign anything, audit your tech stack. The most beautiful website in the world won't help if your leads are falling through the cracks between disconnected platforms.
