Case study · Cotswold Gloss · Carterton, OxfordshireBuilt to match the van. 157 leads at £4.59.
Cotswold Gloss is a mobile car valeting and detailing business in Carterton, West Oxfordshire, that comes to you across Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. He had the van, the kit and a logo he designed himself. We built the dark, clean website he asked for, with a booking calendar that lives in his CRM, and switched the Meta Ads on at the start of July 2026. Two complete months later: 157 leads at £4.59 each, every one landing in the CRM with the car, the service and the date the customer wants.
A van, a logo and nowhere to book
A mobile valeter sells convenience: the car gets a showroom finish on your drive while you get on with your day. Cotswold Gloss had the hard part in place, a fully kitted van, professional products, three counties to cover and a gold on black logo he had designed himself. What he did not have was anywhere for a customer to see a price and book, or any steady way of being found by people who had never heard the name.
The brief was short. A dark website that looked as professional and clean as the van, prices on the page, a booking system rather than a contact form, and ads that put the van in front of the right postcodes. Then a CRM to make sure nobody who asked for a quote was left waiting.
Dark, clean and built to book
The site takes its colours from the van: black, a deep gold, his logo in the corner. Six services are priced on the first visit, from a £40 exterior wash to a £300 polish and paint enhancement, with a monthly maintenance plan for people who want the car kept that way. Every page ends at the same two buttons, book a valet or get a free quote, and the booking page is not a form that emails him. It is the calendar from his CRM, running on a subdomain of his own site, so the customer picks a service and a slot without ever leaving the brand.
The site is also where the ads land, which is the point of building it first. A lead who has seen the prices and the work before they enquire is a lead worth ringing back.
157 leads in two months, from one campaign
The Meta Ads went live on 1 July 2026 with one lead campaign and two ads, one for valeting and one for polishing. The form asks for the car, the service wanted and when the customer would like it done, so a lead arrives ready to quote. The first week produced 11 leads at £1.44 each. July finished on 83 leads at £4.16, reaching 26,440 people with a 3.99% click through rate. August produced 74 leads at £5.08 across 54,136 impressions, and the Valet ad did most of the work: 136 leads at £4.36 over the two months, against 21 at £6.09 for the Polish ad, which we paused.
For a local service, a lead under £5 is a good price and we say so plainly. The cost crept up in August as the first audience wore in, which is normal, and the fix is the same as ever: new creative, then a look at the radius.
Every enquiry with the car, the service and the date
Every lead from the ads lands in the CRM as an opportunity, tagged with its source and carrying the three things a valeter needs to quote: the vehicle make and model, the service wanted and the preferred date. By 7 September 2026 there were 168 of them, a Mercedes GLC asking for a full valet, a BMW booked for a paint enhancement, a Golf estate just getting prices. The booking calendar on the website runs from the same CRM, so a customer who books themselves and a customer who came through an ad sit in one system.
What each of those enquiries turned into belongs to Cotswold Gloss, and the pipeline is his to keep. We publish the enquiries, not the jobs, until his CRM says otherwise.
What we know, and what we do not yet
We know the site converts, that the ads bring a lead for less than a fiver, and that the enquiries arrive with enough detail to quote from. We do not know the seasonal pattern yet, because a valeting business has not seen a winter in this data, and we do not publish jobs won or revenue because the pipeline is his and it is not kept to the day. This page grows with the months.

The maths, in the open
Spend and leads are read from the client's Meta Ads account, complete months only. Enquiries are counted in his CRM. Jobs won and pipeline value are not published, because the pipeline is his and it is not kept to the day.
Website we designed and builtcotswoldgloss.co.uk ↗ Where the ads land
The site we designed and built for Cotswold Gloss: his logo, the gold of the van, six priced services and a booking calendar that lives in his CRM. It is where the ads land and where a quote turns into a date.
Cotswold Gloss has worked with us since July 2026, month to month. Two months in, we publish what the accounts say and nothing more.
The communication is excellent, they’re always quick to respond, and they genuinely take the time to understand the business and what we’re trying to achieve. The website looks great, the advertising has helped bring in new enquiries, and the CRM makes managing leads and customers much easier.
