Case study · GoMo Garden Pods · PeterboroughFrom a standing start to a full enquiry inbox
GoMo Garden Pods design and build garden rooms, offices and pods from Peterborough. It is a purchase people research for weeks, and it is one of the most competitive advertising markets in home improvement. We took the account from launch in February 2026 and the numbers are theirs, through MyContentLab.
His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for digital marketing and willingness to go above and beyond in making my business up/running and hopefully successful is world class. The business website has been in operation for a few weeks now and we are seeing great results.
Who they are
A garden room company selling insulated, year round rooms that go in within days: home offices, gyms, studios and guest rooms. Prices run into five figures, planning rules confuse customers, and every competitor is running Facebook ads to the same homeowners. Standing out means answering the questions people actually have before they enquire.
The problem they came with
In January 2026 the Instagram account had 230 followers, the Facebook page effectively none, and there was no ad account history to learn from. The business needed enquiries quickly, but it also needed a way to handle them: a garden room lead who waits a day for a reply has usually spoken to two other companies by then.
What we did, and why
A CRM before the first ad. Every enquiry lands in one pipeline, gets an automatic reply within a minute and is tagged by source, so the owners can see which ads produce buyers rather than browsers. Speed to lead in MyContentLab has stayed between 0.4 and 0.9 minutes since launch.
Facebook and Instagram lead generation ads at around £700 a month, with creative built around the objections: disruption in the garden, planning permission, how long it takes. Lead forms ask about the room type and timing so the sales conversation starts in the right place.
Organic content that educates. The best performing Reels are the useful ones: Worried about weeks of disruption in your garden? (1,787 views) and You might not need planning permission for your garden pod (1,092 views). They double as ad creative.
The results, with dates
354 leads at £11.76 each from launch in February to August 2026. The first month produced 11 leads from £74 of spend at £6.72 each while we learned the audience; the next six months ran at between 43 and 71 leads a month. Best months for cost per lead were June (£9.20) and April (£10.13, 71 leads).
In the CRM, 346 opportunities were created between February and August 2026 from 307 form submissions, and every one got an automatic first reply in under a minute. Instagram reach went from 4,607 in February to 33,811 in April, and the Facebook page grew from nothing to 47 followers with 38,868 video views in May.
Sales figures belong to GoMo and are not published. Cost per lead rose slightly over the summer (£13.00 in July, £14.56 in August) as competition in the category increased, which is exactly the kind of thing the monthly review exists to catch and act on.
What a garden room installer can take from this
The ad is only half the job. GoMo’s enquiries get answered in under a minute, automatically, and that is worth more than any targeting trick. And content that answers the planning and disruption questions does two jobs at once: it fills the organic feed and it makes the ads cheaper.
