Case study · JR Stone · LondonStone, on film, the way it deserves

JR Stone work in fine granite, marble and stone in London for architects, developers and private clients. We filmed their production and their testimonial, and the brand film is one of the films that play behind our video production page.

The film we made for them

Who they are

A stone company that templates, cuts, finishes and installs worktops, cladding and bespoke pieces for high end residential and commercial projects. The clients are architects, developers and homeowners at the top of the market, and they rarely see how the work is made. The workshop is the story.

The problem they came with

Show the scale and precision of stone production to people who only ever see the finished slab. A photograph of a marble worktop looks like every other marble worktop; the cutting, the finishing and the care taken in between are what separate JR Stone from a supplier, and only film can carry that.

What we did, and why

A brand film shot on site with our own crew. Templating, cutting, polishing, installation and the team, cut to a length that works on the website and in a proposal, with shorter edits for social.

A client testimonial film with the client on camera talking about the work in their own words, which does more for a high end trade than any amount of copy.

The result

A film the business uses in proposals, on the website and across social, and a testimonial you can watch on this site. As a production project rather than a campaign, there are no lead figures to publish, and we do not invent them.

Questions

Questions

What video should a masonry or stone company make first?
A brand film that shows the process from raw slab to installed piece. It is the one film that works on the website, in proposals and on social, and it answers the question every client has: how is this made?
How do you film a client testimonial that feels genuine?
Put the client somewhere they are comfortable, ask questions rather than handing them a script, film more than you need and cut it honestly. The JR Stone testimonial was filmed that way.
How much does a brand film cost for a trades business?
It depends on locations, days of filming and the edits needed. We quote each film after a call rather than publishing prices, and we plan the shoot so one day produces the brand film and the social cuts together.
